The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory for Lafayette on Tuesday with some areas expected to see it's first triple digits of the year.
Some parts of Acadiana, mostly in St. Mary and St. Martin parishes, received over 4 inches of rain by early Thursday afternoon from a disorganized tropical system that moved ashore from the Gulf.
