Coach Landry Williams listens in with the players at the Red Stick Bowl football all-star practice held at the LSU indoor football facility on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.

District 6-3A consists of Collegiate-Baton Rouge, Glen Oaks, Madison Prep, Mentorship Academy, Parkview Baptist, Port Allen and University Lab.

Preseason favorite: Madison Prep

A Week 9 triumph over U-High highlighted an undefeated run of district play for Madison Prep, who reached the Division II select semifinals and return plenty of talent from last season.

Others to watch: University and Parkview Baptist

U-High nearly beat Madison Prep last season and return a five-star recruit in senior Lamar Brown. Parkview has a new head coach in Devin Ducote, a Parkview alum with Division I coaching experience.

Five Players to Watch

Lamar Brown

OL/DL ¦ University

The senior is committed to LSU as the No. 1-rated recruit in Louisiana for the Class of 2026 and is set to anchor U-High’s offensive line while also rotating in along the defensive line.

Javen Holmes

S ¦ Madison Prep

A leader in the secondary capable of playing both safety spots, the senior is committed to the University of Houston and described as “a force” by Madison Prep coach Landry Williams.

Jackson Loflin

OL ¦ Parkview Baptist

The senior is a three-year starter at guard anchoring Parkview’s offensive line alongside fellow seniors Willie Williams and Logan Parker in what’s going to be a new-look offense.

Kaleb West

QB/S ¦ Port Allen

The senior will be a two-way starter at quarterback and free safety as a leader on both sides of the ball for a young Port Allen team with just five returning starters.

Keyon Robinson

WR ¦ Madison Prep

A Grambling State commitment nicknamed “Hollywood,” the senior returns as a go-to option at wide receiver with great route-running ability and strong hands.
