Louisiana's John Foster sings 'The Rainbow Connection' on Monday's 'American Idol' before learning he was heading to the 'Idol' finals.

Louisiana teen John Foster was the first to secure a spot in the 'American Idol' finale Monday night after two 'Disney night' performances.

He received all positive feedback from the judges. One song even brought artist in residence Jelly Roll to his feet.

Foster first put an upbeat, country spin on "Bare Necessities" from "The Jungle Book." He followed it up with a more emotional rendition of "The Rainbow Connection" from "The Muppet Movie."

Watch the two below.

"American Idol's" grand finale will air from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday on ABC and stream the next day on Hulu.
